WCP's high-end reel incorporates a reinforced inverted dish style drum, massive bearings, and a solid core over 10" thick. The skid is only 8' 2" wide, 11' long and weighs 14,500 lbs., allowing it to easily fit on a drop deck float or be carried offshore.

This particular reel is capable of handling:
31,000 ft. of 1.25" C.T.
23,000 ft. of 1.5" C.T.
16,000 ft. of 1.75" C.T.
12,500 ft. of 2" C.T.

The reel can be ordered to hold any amount of pipe desired.

The reel rides on a solid 8" axle shaft which has been machined to accept a flange mounted 1502 WECO adapter. The shaft is supported by two large 6" pillow block bearings each with a:
Radial Load over 65,000 lbs.
Dynamic load of more than 184,000 lbs.
Static load in excess of 310,000 lbs.

Wellhead Control Products Inc. also manufactures a coiled tubing counter. It is a compact direct drive unit with internal tensioners. The heavy walled housing can tilt nearly vertical in either direction eliminating a lot of unnecessary stress. The internal components ride on high quality roller bearings and everything is field-servicable.
